We've put together a little list that makes celebrating summer just a little bit easier.

Happy New Year, Bring on 2018

We wanted to make sure this year that we took time to say happy New Year to all our loyal customers, advocates , social media followers, community partners and suppliers. Thank you for all you do to make our business better and more enjoyable every day. 2018 will bring many challenges in an ever changing market, but we're excited for the challenge and look forward to taking that on with you .

We hope that all you get the chance to take some kind of well earned break and enjoy this stunning summer weather. So we decided that we would put together a little list that makes celebrating summer just a little bit easier.

After weeks of blood, sweat and research we've come up with this list of the 5 best summer life hacks (make sure you check out the links):

1. Using a cupcake liner as an ice block drip catcher. This is number one because almost everyone loves a cooling ice cream or ice block in the summer heat. If you're anything like me, or your kids are anything like mine, the only downside is those damn drips. This little idea means a drip free summer. Brilliant.

2. No more burning seat belt clips. Ever burnt yourself after a day in the sun with your seat belt clip? I have many times. So to avoid this painful and needless exercise buckle your seat belts before you get out of the car.

3. Take a fitted sheet to the beach. What? You say. Yeah thats right take an old fitted sheet to the beach. Place it upside down with items in all 4 corners and pull it up. It keeps the sand out and the toddlers in (for a little while at least).

4. DIY Party Lights. Whether it's a beach party or outdoors at home, add a little ambience with this one. Grab your empty water bottles (balloons work too) and chuck some water in them. Then crack a glow stick and put one in each bottle. It looks great and can also double as a game of night time ten pin bowling if you're that way inclined.

5. Healthy strawberry snacks. It's berry season here in New Zealand and that means lots of juicy strawberry's ready for us all to munch. It's often difficult to stop those strawberries fresh long enough. So to stop daily visits to the strawberry farm, spread them out on baking paper, freeze them and then throw them in bags. Not only do they last this way, but they're also a healthy, easy and cooling snack to take to the beach.

Thanks for reading we hope these make relaxing with family a little easier and more fun. To you and your family, we wish you a Happy New Year and a safe holiday. Thanks for your support of EVES in 2017.
