New Zealand's newest institute of technology was formally blessed onMonday morning when Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology's new name and brand was revealed.
An amalgamation of two high-performing institutions - Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and Waiariki Institute of Technology, the new institute has five main campuses in Rotorua, Taupō, Tauranga, Tokoroa and Whakatāne.
The name Toi Ohomai means to aim high and achieve great heights; to be awakened by learning.
The institution is on a mission to create a network of purposeful connections; forming constellations of excellence, knowledge, people, partnerships and innovation throughout the region.
