The property markets in Tauranga, Mount Maunganui and Papamoa dipped in April.
The markets suffered 35 per cent drops in the numbers of properties sold on a month-by-month comparison.
While property prices also dipped, the big decline was in sales numbers. In Tauranga there were 97 sales in April, following awhopping 149 sales in March. In Mount Maunganui/Papamoa there were 73 sales, down from 112 the previous month.
The Western Bay fared the best of the three regions during the lean month, tallying up 64 sales - down only four sales from the 68 in March.
