A man received minor injuries to a finger after his hand became stuck in a machine at North Island Mussel Processors factory in Glenlyon Ave, Greerton.
"The ambulance was called as a precaution," a Sanford Seafoods spokeswoman told the Bay of Plenty Times.
She described it as a minor incident involving a
finger. The man was treated at Tauranga Hospital's Emergency Department. There were no broken bones and he did not need stitches.
The accident happened at about 1pm today.

EARLIER: Emergency services are responding to calls of a person whose hand has become trapped in a machine.

A fire service spokesman said firefighters had been called to North Island Mussel Processors on Glenlyon Ave in Greerton after reports of a person with their hand trapped in a machine.

Fire fighters had not yet reached the scene.
