A man received minor injuries to a finger after his hand became stuck in a machine at North Island Mussel Processors factory in Glenlyon Ave, Greerton. "The ambulance was called as a precaution," a Sanford Seafoods spokeswoman told the Bay of Plenty Times. She described it as a minor incident involving afinger. The man was treated at Tauranga Hospital's Emergency Department. There were no broken bones and he did not need stitches. The accident happened at about 1pm today.
EARLIER: Emergency services are responding to calls of a person whose hand has become trapped in a machine.
A fire service spokesman said firefighters had been called to North Island Mussel Processors on Glenlyon Ave in Greerton after reports of a person with their hand trapped in a machine.
