TODAY
Tauranga Tsunami Relief Concert: Holy Trinity Church, 8pm-11pm. Tickets $30. Fundraising concert featuring Nairobi Trio, Shona Laing and Laurette Mears.
TOMORROW
Northern Regional Surf Lifesaving Champs: Mount beach, 8am-5pm. Continues until Sunday. Annual event displaying some of the best surf lifesaving talent in the country.
Tsunami Relief Fund Charity Dance: Te Puke Memorial
Hall, 8pm-12pm. Gents $5, women a plate for supper. An evening of entertainment and dancing to raise funds of those devastated by the Boxing Day tsunami in Asia.
SUNDAY
The Magnificent Mount Sports Sevens Tournament: Blake Park, 10am-5pm. Entry fee $5 per person. The tournament features 24 clubs from throughout the North Island, and is one of the only genuine club sevens competitions left.
The Elms Festival of Creative Garden Art: The Elms, 10am-6pm. Continues until Monday, 10am-4pm. Exhibition of arts and crafts from some of the North Island's most talented artists.
Tauranga Harness Racing: Tauranga race course, first race 12.35pm. Free entry. An afternoon of fantastic fun and entertainment at the races.
Mills Reef Stars Under the Stars: Mills Reef Winery, 7pm-10pm. Tickets available from Ticketek. The annual music festival featuring Yulia, Ben Morrison and Michael Barrymore.
MONDAY
Bendon Women's Triathlon: The Mall, Pilot Bay, 9am-2pm. 400m swim/10km cycle and 2.5km run. A great challenge for any budding female athlete.
