Dramatic but practical Meghan Maher, managing directorof Repertoire, talks style

How would you describe your style?
I think my style is best described as dramatic with a practical edge. I absolutely love wearing black as it is so forgiving. With a few kilograms of post baby weight still too lose,
black is my best friend, not to mention that sticky little finger prints are harder to spot.

What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe and why?
My black-and-white Diaz dress. It always makes me feel like a million dollars. I often get complimented when wearing it.

What do you wear to work?
I only wear Repertoire to work. Luckily the very essence of the brand fits with my noisy and busy lifestyle. I try and keep my look very current and inspirational as I am aware I am a brand ambassador for Repertoire ... sneaking out in one's trackies has became very hard to navigate. These days my look must be far more practical as I am still breastfeeding my baby girl.

What's your weekend "uniform"?
Jeans and T-shirts and a sense of humour.

What's your oldest piece of clothing?
My gorgeous Sea Folly togs that I bought when I was 19. They are incredible, I can't believe they still fit me.

What's the latest piece you've bought?
My long black kimono. I want to put it with everything at the moment. This one piece has instantly updated my wardrobe.

What's the most you've spent on an item of clothing?
My Vera Wang wedding dress. The price will stay a secret. It was worth every cent as it was the dress I dreamt about ever since I was a little girl. I felt like a princess. I have kept it for my little girl Olive.

How has your style changed over time?
My style has become more practical since having kids as my body has dramatically changed post having children. I need more ease and coverage as I work towards getting my figure back. I also need clothing that is bulletproof as I don't have the time to hand wash or press clothes. I often have the kids smear some of their breakfast or toothpaste on me every morning without fail. Sometimes the toothpaste is mine to be honest. Chiffon tops and dresses have been a heaven send for me.
