Police have arrested a man and charged him with murder after Tauranga man Dax Holland was found dead last weekend.
Holland’s body was found at Wharepai Domain on Saturday, February 14.
After an autopsy on Monday, police began a homicide investigation.
In a statement today, theysaid a 24-year-old had been charged with murder and was due to appear in Tauranga District Court tomorrow.
“Police still want to hear from anyone who may have seen any unusual or suspicious behaviour around the Wharepai Domain before 2pm on Saturday,” the Western Bay of Plenty Area Investigations Manager, Detective Senior Sergeant Natalie Flowerdew-Brown, said.
