"The property is actually being offered for sale with the option to continue as is, bearing in mind the Whangamata Motor Camp has been established for more than 50 years.
"As locals and regular visitors would know, it's generally fully occupied by permanent year-to-year site leases and the whole complex is fully booked during the peak summer holiday period.
"Down the track a new owner could choose to do any number of other things with the property. It's such a unique site we've been unable to even put a firm price on the property as this depends on how the interested parties decide what their best use is." The property was just a two-hour drive from both the Auckland and Waikato regions and one-and-a-half hours from the Bay of Plenty. It had access way to the beach from the centre of town.
The property could accommodate about 140 powered sites and included 11 cabins, a manager's residence and office, toilet and shower facilities, a social area, bunk room, kitchen, laundry, garaging and a playground.
