A Big Wednesday player from Whangamata has just won $4 million with Big Wednesday First Division in tonight's live draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Whanga Books in Whangamata.

Tdoay is international 'be a millionaire day', so it's fitting that one New Zealander has just become a millionaire - four times over.

"There has been an amazing winning streak for our players this year," said Lotto NZ's GM, Corporate Communications Emilia Mazur.

"I'm sure whoever has this ticket will be starting to get very excited."

This is the second time this month that the Big Wednesday jackpot has been won, after a ticket shared by two best friends from the South Island struck gold to the tune of $12.3 million just two weeks ago.

Anyone who bought their ticket from Whanga Books in Whangamata should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.

Players can phone Lotto on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
