Tauranga City Council has released their weekly bulletin, including information on water leaks, disrupted water supplies, and a broken car park lift - read on to see what might affect you around the city.

A water leak in Red Square on Devonport Rd resulted in a large area of cobbles needing to be removed to fix the leak.

The area would be re-cobbled once new concrete was set.

Customers on Welcome Bay Rd would have a disruption to their water supply next week, while a leaking fire hydrant was repaired.

The lift at the Spring St car parking building would be out of action for the next couple of months while a replacement lift was installed.

The existing lift was beyond repair and had to be completely replaced.

Pavement rehabilitation works would start on Maunganui Rd between Tawa St and Sutherland Avenue on Monday.

This would take eight weeks and traffic management would be in place.

Other news:
- Contractors have started work replacing the wire farm fence that runs from Hartford Ave to Harrisons Cut with a low post and rail fence.

- Annual water mains flushing is underway in Papamoa. Next week contractors will start in Arataki and Matapihi. Then they will move into the Mount CBD areas and work their way back through Central Parade and industrial areas.

- Water main renewals are nearly finished in Te Hono Street and Maihi Crescent. Installation of fittings is now underway and looking at pressure testing next week.

- Windsor road, Princess Road and Charles Street water main renewals are being tested and looking at connection to the live reticulation next week. Pressure testing this week/early next week for Jonathon Street.

- Water main renewals in Jonathon Street have now started and all of the pipe has been installed. Pressure testing programmed for later this week to early next week.
Greerton area water main upgrades are getting started starting at Cornwall Street.

Ongoing roadworks
Poike Road overbridge and cycleway construction
Works have commenced to improve cycleway facilities on Poike Road, on the northern and southern side of SH2a, and are expected to take 12 weeks to complete the SH29 over-bridge and cycle lane facilities.

SH29/Takitimu Drive and SH36/Taurikura Drive roundabouts
Works to upgrade the capacity of the two roundabouts and their approach roads are continuing. Works are being carried out at several locations. Expect some delays especially during peak traffic periods.

Tara Road between Royal Ascot Drive and Doncaster Drive
Works to upgrade this section of Tara Road to four lanes is continuing. Expect some delays.

Memorial Park
Contractors have traffic management in place at Memorial Park for the renewal of the seawall. Care is needed around trucks and machinery manoeuvring.
