A 69-year-old Waihi woman was airlifted to hospital after she suffered a serious medical event.
The Tauranga-based Truspower TECT Rescue Helicopter was called to Waihi about 3.15pm yesterday.
A helicopter spokesman said a woman had suffered a serious medical event and was treated at the scene by St John medics.
He said the woman was then flown directly to Waikato Hospital for specialist treatment.
