Waihi Rd ramp blocked after crash

A busy Tauranga highway accessway was blocked after a crash this afternoon.

A police spokesman said officers were called to a two-car crash at the Waihi Rd on-ramp at 12.20pm.

"The Waihi Rd on-ramp is currently blocked."

A photographer at the scene said the crash was at the intersection of the on-ramp and Waihi Rd.

Emergency services personnel were helping a woman out of one of the cars, he said. She was walking.

He said traffic heading on Waihi Rd from Judea direction towards Cameron Rd was being diverted.

Traffic heading down Waihi Rd from Cameron Rd was not affected.

A police spokesman later said no injuries were reported and the on-ramp was now clear.
