Police have named the woman killed in a fatal crash in Waihi last week. Photo/file

Police have released the name of the woman who died after a fatal crash in Waihi last week.

She was 68-year-old Auckland woman Margaret Cronwright.

The woman died after a car and truck collided on the main highway near Dean Cres on the western side of the town about 2.30pm on October 17.

Police extended their sympathies to the woman's family and friends.
