Uniform and armed police swooped on Pyes Pa property

Armed police were called in to help conduct a pre-planned search warrant at a Landing Drive house in Pyes Pa this afternoon.

A police communication spokeswoman said armed offenders squad members were also in attendance as a "precautionary" measure.

No further information about the reason for the search was available at this time, she said.

A resident in the street and a reporter at the scene said police had left about 4pm.
