Emergency services responded to a two vehicle crash on Bayfair roundabout tonight.

A Bay of Plenty Times reporter said "a red coloured "people mover" was in the middle of the roundabout with two police cars and ambulance in attendance.

It appears one lane may have been blocked, the reporter said.

A police communication spokeswoman said the crash which was reported at 5.37pm involved a collision between a car and a motorbike or scooter.

One person was reported to have sustained minor injuries, but it did not appear anyone was taken to hospital, she said.

Traffic was still able to manoeuvre around the crash scene, and police enquiries about the crash were ongoing, the police spokeswoman said.
