Two people are in custody and police are on the hunt for a third person, following a police pursuit that ended in fire this morning.
A police spokeswoman said about 4am, a vehicle allegedly failed to stop for police and as officers followed, the fleeing vehicle caught fire.
The occupants
of the vehicle allegedly fled on foot on Sargent Drive in Whakamarama and police took two of the occupants into custody about 4.10.
Police were still working this morning to find the third person.
The police dog unit was also helping in the search.
