Two left seriously injured after car and two motorbikes collide in Mt Maunganui

Two people have been left with serious injuries after a crash between two motorbikes and a car in Mount Maunganui this evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on Matapihi Road near Bayfair Drive at 6.20pm.

Two people were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road has been closed and motorists are being asked to expect delays.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
