One person is injured and two lanes are blocked in a two-car crash in the Lower Kaimai.

Police are responding to a report of a crash involving two vehicles on Valley View Rd and State Highway 29.

It was reported at 3.40pm.

St John is on the scene and one person has moderate injuries.

It's blocking two lanes heading towards Matamata and traffic management is in place.
