Emergency services are at the scene of two crashes on Fraser St.

Fire service Northern Communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said one crash was on the intersection of Brook St and the other was on the corner of 18th.

Both crashes involved two cars and in each crash one person was injured.

Both were causing major congestion.
