Annabel has received a prestigious University of Auckland Scholarship worth up to $50,000.

She plans to study the first year of a Bachelor of Science (BioMedical Science), a necessary step before she can apply for medicine at the University.

Annabel said: "I want to study Medicine, and then specialise potentially in Orthopaedic Surgery. Winning this scholarship has made me aware of the fact that hard work and dedication towards college life pays off. I am extremely grateful."

Both scholarships provide tuition fees for three years of fulltime study as well as paying for any course-related compulsory fees.
