A truck has crashed in the Mangorewa Gorge, between Rotorua and Tauranga.
The crash happened about 5.30pm on Tauranga Direct Rd/State Highway 36 and emergency services are currently at the scene.
The truck driver, who did not want to be named, told the Rotorua Daily Post he had been travellingfrom Tauranga to Rotorua when he came around a corner and fishtailed, hitting a bank.
He suffered only minor injuries, including a gash to the elbow and abrasions. He was the sole occupant of the truck.
A witness travelling in the opposite direction said they saw the truck hit the wall and flip onto its side.
