A total of 33 police staff are working on the investigation into the homicide of David Rawiri Kuka last Sunday.

The body of Kuka, 52, was found at a Gate Pa business in a commercial cul-de-sac off Courtney Rd.

Detective Inspector Lew Warner said the scene examination was continuing at the Wilrose Place address, with 33 police staff working on the case.

''We would like to hear from anyone who was in the Courtney Rd, Wilrose Place and Fraser St areas between 9pm and midnight on Sunday," Warner said

Kuka, a relative of David Kuka of Te Puna, was found with serious head injuries at the second hand shop and pronounced dead at 11.15pm. Police and ambulance staff responded to calls for assistance from the property at 10.40pm on Sunday.
