A 2-year-old Te Puke boy is among the three people still in hospital following a serious crash near Paengaroa on Sunday night.
Four people were injured in the crash on State Highway 33, including the boy, a 26-year-old woman from Te Puke, a 23-year-old man from Te Puke
and a 23-year-old man from Rotorua.
The 23-year-old man from Te Puke has since been released while the boy and other two adults remain in hospital in Tauranga Hospital in a stable condition.
Police were alerted to the two-vehicle crash near Allport Rd at around 10pm on Sunday.
Initial reports suggested those involved in the crash were seriously injured.
