A crash involving three cars on Hewletts Rd in Tauranga was initially blocked the bus lane for a short time but there are no reports of anyone being injured, police said.

A police spokeswoman said the report about the crash involving three cars on Hewletts Rd between the intersections of Waimarie and Hocking Sts was received at 5.45 pm.

There were no reports of further blockages, but given the time of day the traffic was "very heavy" and the crash scene would take a wee while to be cleared, she said.
