A massive crowd turned out for the Tauranga Arts Festival and Friends at the Historic Village including Angela Chadwick and her family.
Taking in the fun the shy 9-year-old Greenpark School student who attended yesterday's festival with her father Robert and 2-year-old sister Petra, sat patiently while Omokoroa collage artistStella Clark painted her portrait.
Ms Clark said she usually painted landscapes but had recently turned to doing collage theme portraits and young Angela was an excellent subject and model.
Other crowd pleasers including street artist 'Man v Jelly' who was decked out in green from head to toe and eating green jelly, while the Starlight facepainters, 34 stall holders and food sellers were doing a roaring trade.
Co-ordinator Claire Mabey said up to 2000 people attended.
