Musicians can be interesting people, especially the legendary ones. Some don't tolerate the media and at times can be very short with them during interviews but at the same time very funny.

I have put together a selection of funny and at the same time very clever quotes from some of the big names in entertainment that I am sure will make you smile:

• The first rule of drumming is that if you make a mistake, turn around and look angrily at the bass player. — Nick Mason (Pink Floyd)

• Is Ringo the best drummer in the world? He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles. — John Lennon

• Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up right alongside it. — David Lee Roth

• Of all the things I lost, I miss my mind the most. — Ozzy Osbourne

• I've never had a problem with drugs. I've had problems with the police. — Keith Richards

• I've been all over the world and I've never seen a statue of a critic. — Leonard Bernstein

• This is the strangest life I've ever known. — Jim Morrison

• I'm not God but if I were God, three-quarters of you would be girls and the rest would be pizza and beer. — Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)

• One chord is fine. Two chords are pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz. — Lou Reed

• There's nothing like the eureka moment of knocking off a song that didn't exist before — I won't compare it to sex, but it lasts longer. — Paul McCartney

• If you're listening to a rock star to get your information on who to vote for, you're a bigger moron than they are. — Alice Cooper

• Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk in order to provide articles for people who can't read. — Frank Zappa

And finally this little gem from the late Jimi Hendrix: When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace
