I tried to log into the App. It requires an email verification. I have tried three times today and still no email. No option for text verification. Guess that's me locked out for real.

Just wish the government would be ahead of the curve for once rather than behind. Imagine how easy it would be tracing contacts if almost every single person had scanned into every single venue. In saying that, Kiwis seem to only follow the rules or guidelines when they're mandatory and not voluntary, so at least they've finally done it and the mask mandate. However, Baker and others were calling for this for months.

Mandatory record keeping should have come in months ago. You only had to stand outside a supermarket where there was only about 10 per cent scanning. If there is a fine it will be a good income earner for the government.

Wow, how is it that this Govt took so long to work this out. Absolute no brainier 6 months ago. Clearly epiphanies are in short supply at the Beehive.

Why does the phrase "closing the stable door after the horse has bolted" keep coming to mind ... ?

All the retail and hospitality businesses whose QR code's have disappeared from sight will need to resurrect them. And the multitudes of non-scanners will need to step up. It's not hard.

A cafe, restaurant or bar having a written record of patrons will not assist someone who has been in contact with a positive case remembering where they've been unless the patron also has a record.
