TPS running man challenge

TPS running man challenge

Children at Tauranga Primary are the latest to join the Running Man craze.

Students donned their dancing shoes today to film the clip, which principal Fiona Hawes said was something fun to do as a school.

She got the idea after seeing other schools post their own version of the craze, and has challenged other local schools to take part.

Teachers got in on the dance party, strutting their moves among the mass of kids.

The school joins Waiariki MP Te Ururoa Flavell in throwing down the running man challenge in the Bay.

Mr Flavell posted his video to YouTube on Friday. It begins with a heart-warming family scene, where the kids are on the couch and dad is in the kitchen, and spirals into a mash-up of Maori haka and retro dance moves.

At one point, Mr Flavell shimmies from the kitchen in his socks, before casting the tea towel aside and boogying into the lounge.
