Tauranga police are investigating a robbery at Super Liquor Papamoa store earlier today.
A police communication spokeswoman said police were called to the Domain Rd store about 10.40am today following a report that a store assistant was assaulted and robbed.
The police spokeswoman said the alleged offender pushed the store
assistant out of the way before they grabbed some items and ran from the store.
"The store assistant was not injured during the robbery," she said.
More details about the offender and what was stolen were unavailable at this time and it was not clear whether a vehicle was involved in the incident, the police spokeswoman said.
