Tauranga: One injured in Pyes Pā crash

One person has been injured after a car hit a tree in Tauranga.

Police said the single-vehicle crash was on Bradley Ave, Pyes Pā, about 2.05pm.

“One person has been seriously hurt, the road remains open,” a police spokesman earlier told SunLive.

Hato Hone St John said one patient was taken to Tauranga Hospital in a moderate condition.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand received reports of a car hitting a tree at 2.04pm and sent two fire trucks

“The vehicle was on its side,” Fire and Emergency said. “The person wasn’t trapped, but they needed assistance to get out of the vehicle.”
