A raft of serious new charges have been laid against the man accused of firing a gun at a police constable.
Donny Falakoa, 32, appeared in Tauranga District Court today facing 14 new charges including unlawfully getting into a motor vehicle, assault with intent to rob using a firearm, using
a firearm against law enforcement, theft of a motor vehicle, reckless discharge of a firearm, failing to stop for police and driving in a dangerous manner.
Judge Cameron described the charges as "extremely serious".
Falakoa did not enter a plea and was remanded in custody until his next appearance on September 25.
