A Tauranga man has been jailed for five years and three months in relation to a raft of drug dealing and firearms offences.

Jarrod Tuffley, 27, who appeared in the Tauranga District Court on Monday by audio-visual link from prison, was sentenced in relation to 14 charges he had earlier admitted.

The 14 charges included possession of methamphetamine for supply, offering to supply the drug, possession of codeine pills for sale, possession of cannabis for supply, offering to sell cannabis, selling cannabis, and possession of 42 tablets of LSD.

Tuffley admitted possession and offering to supply a total of 134g of P, 403g of cannabis, and possession of 50 codeine pills for supply.

Tuffley was also jailed in relation to a charge of unlawful possession of an unloaded .303 rifle found in the rafters at a residential address in Tauranga, the court heard.

The charges stemmed from a series of police including a storage shed and two properties in Tauranga and Mount Maunganui between March 1 and December 12 last year.

Judge Paul Mabey QC told Tuffley while his expression of remorse had come late, he was prepared to give him a 25 per cent discount for his guilty pleas and some remorse.

The judge also ordered the forfeiture of $1700 cash found in Tuffley's possession.
