A Welcome Bay bunny took to his unicycle yesterday to spread Easter joy to those in his neighborhood and get his daily dose of exercise.
The bunny, known by some as Rowan Dawson, prefers riding to the stereotypical hop and took to the streets within his neighborhood bubble by unicycle.
The bunny began the roundabout track in Welcome Bay and head down Ohauiti Rd, turn onto Rowesdale Drive, Poike Rd and back onto Ohauiti Rd towards Hairini.

He rode around a few streets in Hairini and back towards Welcome Bay where he lives from 2pm.
"The best part of my job is making people happy," he said.
This was the second time he went out on the unicycle this week, the first time being on Thursday which he said adults enjoyed just as much as the children.

Today, Dawson said he had been "blown away and humbled" by the community enthusiasm for the bunny's presence.
"I am happy and lucky to live in such a beautiful place."
He wanted to "spread joy in a difficult time... and help keep people present" and getting out in costume also helped him "feel normal again".
Dawson also did all he could to keep to the lockdown safety rules.
"The last thing I want to do is create more problems."
He said the "entertainment business has been hit really badly" by the lockdown.
This weekend he did his first ever "virtual" birthday party entertainment, via video conferencing, to help an Auckland child celebrate in the lockdown.
