Sugar, spice, and everything nice was baked into the 247 Hottest Home Baker competition, to raise money for the Tauranga Breast Cancer Support Services.
Cakes of all shapes and sizes, cupcakes, and even a beetroot and feta tart were among the entrants from the 247 building, with Hollie Tawhiao ofBayleys Real Estate taking out the best decorated cake.
Ms Tawhiao said she was surprised by the win.
"I found it on Pinterest, I saw one similar and my son he squealed. I thought, he likes it I may as well do that one."
She said it symbolised navigating through choppy seas, which could relate to many people going through breast cancer.
She estimated the cake used about six cups of flour and six eggs to create.

Event organiser Kim Davis of Aurecon said the event went "really smoothly", with about $1300 raised for charity from an auction and selling the uneaten baked goods.
