One northbound lane on Takitimu Dr is blocked after a caravan broke down.

A police spokesman said police were notified of the blockage near Elizabeth St at 5.36pm.

He said a wheel had fallen off the caravan and no one was injured.

He could not say whether there was any traffic build-up.
