A woman hurt in a crash on State Highway 36 is one of a spate of crashes plaguing Western Bay of Plenty roads over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on SH36 between Williams Rd and Taumata Rd about 7.45pm yesterday.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager acting Senior Sergeant Wayne Hunter said a car trying to U-turn was involved in a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
A female passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to Tauranga Hospital with minor injuries.

No one else was injured in the crash.
The crash follows a spate of crashes around the region including a serious crash on SH2 at Whakamarama at 3.30pm. Read more about that here.
A person was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a car and van collided.
Hunter said the person's injuries were later downgraded to minor to moderate injuries.
The road was closed near the Munro Rd intersection and traffic diversions were in place.
A motorcyclist was involved in a crash at Golden Sands Drive, Papamoa, yesterday. He suffered minor injuries.
Police were also called to a car which crashed into a bollard on Waihi Rd on Saturday.
