Security staff are at the site of a Tauranga store this morning following a daring overnight ram-raid.

Senior Sergeant Malcolm Collins said a vehicle had been used to smash into the front of Kathmandu in Fraser Cove overnight.

A number of jackets were stolen, he said.

Mr Collins said police would be investigating the incident further today.

For now, security staff are guarding the store until it can be blocked off.
