A truck's trailer which rolled on SH29 in the Kaimai Range has prompted the closure of the busy highway today.

State Highway 29 - the Kaimai Range – is now open after a truck's trailer rolled this morning.

An NTZA Facebook page post said: SH29 at Te Poi and Kaimai Range is now reopened

Vehicle recovery has now been completed and all lanes are open on State Highway 29 over the Kaimai Range.

The crash happened just west of Soldiers Rd about 5.40am.

A crane was needed to remove the trailer.

Diversions have been lifted

There were no injuries and a police media spokeswoman said the road was completely blocked until a crane could remove the trailer.

A reporter at the scene this morning said motorists were being diverted down Cambridge Rd at Tauriko.
