SH2 crash near Sandhurst Dr causing delays between Bayfair and Pāpāmoa

Traffic is backed up on State Highway 2, between Bayfair and Pāpāmoa.

A reader said there is a crash on SH2, down from Sandhurst Dr.

“The southbound lane traffic is not moving at all. Traffic is backed right up to the Bayfair roundabout.

“I can see flashing emergency lights.”

Police said they received reports of a two vehicle crash on SH2, Mount Maunganui, at 10.10am

A Hato Hone St John spokesperson said they responded to the crash with one ambulance.

“Two patients were assessed at the scene, with one of those transported to Tauranga Hospital in a minor condition.”
