2019 NISS Sevens Tournament

North Island schools continue their battle for sevens titles in day two of the North Island Secondary Schools Sevens Tournament at Mount Maunganui today.

The tournament, hosted by Bay of Plenty Rugby Union, got under way at Arataki park yesterday with girls and boys' sevens teams facing off in different divisions in Under 15s and Under 19s age group competitions.

With three fields operating and games getting under way from 8.30am, close to 100 games were played on day one. Today, dozens more matches will take place as finals are held to close off the final day of the tournament this afternoon.

Bay of Plenty schools competing this week includes: Tauranga Girls' College, Tauranga Boys' College, Katikati College, John Paul College, Rotorua Girls' High School, Western Heights High School, Te Puke High School, Whakatāne High School, Ōtūmoetai College and Trident High School.
