Police are urging motorists to avoid the northbound area of State Highway 2 of Sandhurst Drive on-ramp and Maunganui Rd after a serious single-vehicle crash.
A police communication spokesperson said the crash was reported to police at 5pm.
Emergency services were at the scene and delays are expected.
