Save Two people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in the Karangahake Gorge today.
One person was trapped and had to be cut from their vehicle after a two-car collision on the Waihi-side of the gorge, near Queen's Head.
Northern Fire Communication shift manager Scott Ormond said the crash
happened just before 11am.
He said one person was trapped in a car and another person from the other vehicle had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
Volunteer fire crew from Waihi and Paeroa brigades attended the crash, he said.
