Firefighters are at the scene of a truck fire on the Tauranga Eastern Link.

Emergency services are at the scene of a rubbish truck fire on the Tauranga Eastern Link toll road.

The westbound lane is closed between the Paengaroa roundabout and the Domain Rd interchange, police say.

It will remain closed until the truck has been removed.

Drivers have been advised to avoid the area or follow the diversions and take care if there is smoke in the air.

There are no reports of any injuries.
