Reports of crash on Kaimai Range

5.00pm: No sign of a crash has been found after police were called to reports of a crash on the Kaimai Range this afternoon.

A photographer on the Kaimai Range said there was no sign of a crash and a police car was seen driving up and down the Tauranga side of the range.

A police northern communications spokesperson said there was nothing to report.

3.42pm: Emergency services are on their way to reports of a crash on the lower Kaimai Range.

Calls reporting a crash on the Tauranga-side of the range came in about 3.35pm, a police northern communications spokesperson said.

More details would be available once they had arrived at the scene, he said.
