Police release pic in hunt for hit and run driver

Western Bay of Plenty police have this morning release the image of a vehicle related to an alleged hit and run incident at the weekend.

A 19-year-old man was stuck by a ute on Te Tumu Rd at 9pm on Saturday.

Police said the ute was a grey-black flat deck heading east. The ute is described as a flat deck with a drum on the tray.

The picture show a ute travelling through Te Puke about the same time as the incident.

The pedestrian is currently in Waikato hospital with serious injuries. His condition is described as stable.

Police would also like to speak to any witnesses who saw this incident or anyone who has any information about this. Police would like the driver of the utility to contact them.
