Police have named the man who died in a light plane crash at Coromandel Forest Park.
He was 78-year-old James Albert Evans of Whitianga.
In a statement, police said it had been working with RCCNZ and LandSAR to find the plane since Friday after being reported overdue about 4.25pm.
