Inquiries continue into an incident where a vehicle failed to stop for police in Papamoa last night.

A police media spokesperson said that shortly after 8pm the vehicle was travelling throughout Papamoa at speed and failed to stop for police.

"It travelled through to Te Puke where police lost sight of it," the spokesperson said.

Police are making inquiries into this and have a suspect in mind for this driving incident.
