Police were called to reports of a possible stabbing at a Te Puke home overnight.
A police media spokeswoman said police were called to a house on Dunlop Rd at 11.10pm after initial reports someone had been stabbed.
However, after police had arrived at the address the incident was later
confirmed as a minor assault.
One person was taken to Tauranga Hospital with a minor cut to their right eyebrow, the spokeswoman said.
There was no confirmation of a knife being used in the assault, she said.
