Police have been called to a street fight in Papamoa's Opal Drive.

A police spokeswoman said they had received multiple calls about a group of men fighting in the street about 5pm.

Further reports have since come in that the group was dispersing.

A photographer at the scene said there were three police cars but no sign of anyone involved in a fight on the street.

It was not clear how many people were involved or whether anyone has been injured.
