A person has been taken to Tauranga Hospital after becoming temporarily trapped between two vehicles.

Police said they were notified of the incident on Cameron Rd, near the intersection of Wharf and Spring Sts, at 11.30am, reporting that one person received moderate injuries and was assessed by ambulance staff at the scene.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson said that when crews arrived, no one remained trapped.
